After graduating in dietetics from UCT, I was employed as the head dietitian for Weigh-Less Health and Slimming Clubs. This is where my passion and insight into weight management and health was cemented. Although I only spent 18 months as the “in-house” dietitian at Weigh-Less, to this day, I am still very involved in continual research and development of the Weigh-Less Lifestyle Programme. Together with other experts in their fields, I continually do research into the current trends, changes and developments in the field of health and nutrition, and update the Weigh-Less eating plan accordingly. Part of my duties for Weigh-Less includes product development, product analysis, writing of articles for various publications as well as liaising with external organizations on laws and regulations within the South African food and health industry.
In 1999, I made the move to Cape Town, and almost immediately started my private practice in Sea Point. 21 years later, it has grown into a very successful practice where I have helped thousands of individuals achieve their health goals through dietary support, monitoring and motivation. My specialties include weight management, the dietary treatment of heart disease, diabetes, food allergies and intolerances, gastrointestinal health and general health.
